Good Times....Great Friends!!!!

What a Wonderful weekend I have had!!!!  I have just returned from Lisa's Cozy Crop Cottage with 6 of my friends and we had a BLAST!!  Lots of laughing, talking,  cropping, and card making!   I personally made 87 cards while I was there!  No, they weren't all alike but I did made multiples of some.  I took pictures to show you all!!!  I am now finished with my 100 in 100 and am happy to report that I used up quite a bit of Designer Series paper and lots of cardstock too!!  Not to mention ribbon, brads, buttons, rhinestones and pearls.   I am so excited!  Still have a ways to go to use it all up but that's ok!  I am beginning to see the light!

Just for you Barb!!!

It's the 5th of the month and you know what that means.....
Crafty Girls Blog Hop!!!!!
This month we are honoring Barbara Lynn!!  Being a new member of the team I haven't had the chance to get to know everyone very well but I have been honored to Barb long before Crafty Gals.  Let me tell you about Barb, she is one Dynamic lady!  She makes and collects cards for the Ronald McDonald House, she was a teacher and athletic director and still remains active in athletics, she hosts many swaps on Splitcoast Stampers, she also coordinates the BRAK group (which makes sure that every member of SCS that have registered get a birthday card), and if that wasn't enough (are you tired yet?) she also has a very active BLOG here.   So Barb, for all you do,  this card is for you!!!  Love you lady!!!

Just for you Amber......

I have a friend who has been wanting to see the changes I have made to my craft room.  I am still working on it but here is what it looks like so far.  My tables in the middle are normally cleaned off but today, we were offered a 55" TV FREE by another friend that we just couldn't resist (Big Thanks to Sonny and Pinky!!).  It needs a new fan, minor repair, but it works great! The picture and sounds are AWESOME!!! So, we cleaned off the top of the wall unit and put the TV there and everything that was there is now on the tables.  Hopefully this weekend, Ronnie will take the other TV out and make me 2 shelves to go where the TV would normally be so I can put the stuff on the shelves.  If not, I will be rearranging again but that's OK, I have a huge TV to watch while I do it!!  Now, back to the craft room...a few years ago we added on this 20 x 20 room with a half bath.  The intention of the room was so our teenager would have room to hang out with friends, have sleepovers, etc... and not disturb the rest of the household...
well after a few sleepovers that ended with 2nd and 3rd degree burns from a treadmill accident he quit having friends over so instead of having one side of the room with the computer and my stamp desk (which my hubby built out of those wonderful cubes and then put both a bottom and top on to make it more sturdy).....

I took over both sides of the room and renamed it my "Craft Room".  I love my room and spend quite a bit of time in here.  Normally, my tables are clear and they will be again as I don't really like clutter (which is why I have been clearing things out).
Here are more views of the computer and stamping side of the room.  See all those cabinets up there?? My wonderful hubby installed them all by himself! Our Neighbor Eddie and Ronnie installed the wood flooring too!!                               Starting with the corner cabinet and going towards the heat/air unit are all my stamps and stuff.
The corner unit holds the few non-SU stamps I have along with envelopes, misc supplies, and the top shelf is a photo album project of mine I need to do.

The rest of the cabinets are all my Stampin Up stamps.  Starting with the current ones and then the retired ones.  My desk holds the rest of my punches, my chalks, watercolor crayons, etc... My ink pads and refills are in my big holder (which is great but I don't take it with me anywhere as it is too heavy), the smaller bin on top holds my SU embossing powders, SU rhinestones, SU glitter glues, SU Glitter, and misc... the wall shelving unit has my flowers, buttons, some of my ribbon, paint, etc... Oh, the white door in the first picture is the door to the half bath....

Now on to the other side of the room...Normally the wall unit would be further back but Ronnie left it out so he could get back there again later and hook up the DVD player and speakers for the stereo,etc.... See the BIG TV!! So excited!!!
This is the wall right when you come into the room.. this holds things dear to me...My friend Marie made all the cross stitch for me, my CM frame holds pictures of friends and family, I have my Limited Edition Disney Pins framed in the picture and of course my handsome son's graduation picture.
Moving around to the right is my other wall that holds things near and dear to me.  More cross stitch from Marie, cards and letters from friends, former students, and  family, and art from Joseph's early years.

Since my classroom was in a trailer with no storage space, Ronnie made this AWESOME storage credenza for me.  When I had to go out on sick leave I brought it home with me and now use it in my craft room.  Like the desk, he put a top and bottom on it to make it very steady.  makes a really nice cutting area for my Cricut.  Those boxes are full of Cricut cartridges.  I need to get them labeled and then I am going to store the original boxes in the attic and just use the plastic ones. The drawers are full of adhesive, pens, pencils, alterable items,  altered items, fabrics, books, etc...

These last two represent the whole other side of the room.
I realize that I didn't really photograph the middle of the room very much but it has 8 chairs and 2 6 foot tables going length ways down the middle.  The back wall has the door to outside and that is also where I have the boxes of sale stuff.  If you look closely in the 2nd picture you can see the boxes.  If you play the PIF threads on SCS that is where all my PIF's are stored :)  No peeking ladies!!!  Anyway on to this interesting wall.  The large wall unit my hubby bought when he worked at Bassett Furniture (he used to build furniture which is why he is so good with making furniture now).  It was made for a TV but he took that part out and put shelves in it for me and now it stores all my projects in progress boxes, bags, items to be altered, and all sorts of misc items....the bottom part holds all my Thirty One Gifts bags that I use when I go to crops/retreats, etc...  The next tall white unit is from Ikea and it is holding all my CM scrapbooks, my Copics on top, my Basic Grey paper, my CM paper, my 12x12 Bazzill cardstock, and my CTMH Solid cardstock.  The next small unit holds my clip it up with all my  bling, thickers, etc..., my pen turnabout with pens, pencils,etc...I had it at school and it came home too.  The bins are holding my SU Ribbon, my SU 12 x 12 Cardstock, my CTMH Workshop kits that I haven't put together yet, and the last one is holding scrapbook pages I have put together that are waiting on pictures.  The last Ikea Expedit Shelving unit is holding my Big Shot and all my dies, EF Folders, Framelits, quickutz, etc.. the purple baskets are holding my CTMH stamps, beside one is my Gypsy, more dies and extended plates for the Big shot.  The last 2 cubes are holding more PIF stuff.

Well, that's all the way around the room!!  I hope you have enjoyed your tour!!!  Let me know what you think!!
